Introduction to Employment Law for Paralegals

The Judge Advocate General's Association of Legal Paraprofessionals will host two hours of continuing legal education for anyone interested in attending.  The CLE will be conducted by our association Vice President Tae Sture.  The cost for attendance is $10.00 for JAGALP members and $20.00 for non-members. Biography of instructor:

Tae Sture

Tae Sture is a retired Army JAG NCO. He retired in 1991 as a Sergeant Major. Tae served an extended combat tour in Vietnam and received various military awards. His duty stations include tours in Korea, Berlin Germany, Alaska, and various Army Posts including Ft. Dix, Ft. Benning, Ft. Hood, OTJAG Liaison to MILPERCEN.

In 1991 Tae began work for the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as a federal investigator, was promoted to Supervisory Team Lead and then transferred to the Alternative Dispute Resolution unit.

Tae was the principal founder of the Judge Advocate General’s Retired NCO Association in 1999 and served as the Association’s first President until the Association’s formal election of officers in 2002. [The JAGRNCO Assn has since evolved into JAGALP]

Tae enrolled in law school and received his law license in late 2004. Tae retired from the EEOC after thirteen years with the Commission and opened his private law practice specializing in employment law.

Tae has argued cases before the Indiana state Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Tae was one of the trial attorneys in the U.S. Supreme Court case of Vance v. Ball State (2013), argued by appellate attorney, Daniel Ortiz. Tae is active in the local bar association, is a member of the Indiana State Supreme Court bar, the Indiana Federal District Court bar, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals bar, as well as the United States Supreme Court bar.

Tae currently serves as the Chair of the Indiana Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. Tae is happily married to the current Association Secretary, Becky Sture and is grandfather to two wonderful grandchildren.
